Hope & Glory Featured in Psychologies Magazine

January 22, 2019

We are delighted to be featured in the new issue of Psychologies Magazine, released on 21st January.

In the article, Bharat and Nina (founders of Hope & Glory) share the challenges of growing their premium tea business from scratch while raising a young family.

Nina and Bharat, both second generation Indians, grew up listening to their parents talk about Britain as the ‘Land of Hope & Glory’ with the secret of success being hard work. Nina’s father was a baker; Bharat’s family was a businessman. The couple’s resilience has been tested by setbacks, both professional and personal, but the drive and determination remain, not to mention the support of devoted friends and family.

Three years ago, the tea-loving couple launched Hope & Glory Tea with the aim of changing perceptions of tea and how tea is enjoyed the way major coffee brands have done for coffee. In their interview with Psychologies, they are candid about the steep learning curve they’ve had to go through, giving up secure jobs in the corporate world to wade into unknown entrepreneurial waters. Bharat recalls the unforgettable advice of a friend, ‘It’s meant to be tough. If it was easy, everyone would do it.” Bharat and Nina also credit their complementary personalities and outlooks in life for helping them to move forward rather than stand still.

You can check out the issue on shelves now and read it online, including the chance to win a Hope & Glory teaset at www.psychologies.co.uk/
